Let me sing you the song of my people

Senior Interactive Developer (Aquent), CTO (nuCloud, LLC)

BA – Communications (emphasis in theatre, which makes it easy to act like I know what I’m doing most of the time), Google Analytics IQ Certified (as if the fact that I’m a geek isn’t obvious enough), and years upon years of playing with crap until it worked. To quote the legendary Adam Savage, remember kids, the only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down. Or in this case, coding it.

My Passions

Theatre, photography, fountain pens, cycling, working until 1AM, drinking possibly unhealthy volumes of scotch, stressing out Shelley Keith, telling people How It Is, and lamenting the fact that I wasn’t the one that came up with the idea for Cards Against Humanity.

I have been working with the web since 1993, when I set up my first two web servers on a Mac SE 30 and a NeXT cube. I have seen the web grow from 40 web sites to billions. I have assisted students in learning about web technologies and forming their own companies.

My Passions

I love working with anybody who wants to learn and finding creative solutions. I enjoy assisting people with technology and looking to make their world a better place.

Lead Web Applications Developer

I have degrees in astronomy and computer science. I started programming as a child and did my first web work in the early 1990s, but I didn’t expect either of these to become my profession. Fortunately it turns out people will pay you for them even though you’re having fun.

My Passions

I love the ways the internet and the web bring people together. I love empowering people by introducing them to new skills. I love seeing people enjoy things. I love when someone discovers a passion of their own. I love working with students. I love friends and family. I love travel. I *particularly* love coffee.

You have no idea how long it took to get this shot right.

Assistant Director of Enrollment Communications

After a failed radio career, I realized my passion lay in helping students… and I’ve been doing that for more than 15 years, in various positions in enrollment management and student affairs. It’s a challenge to be a ‘Web guy’ who can’t code (yet), but I love working with our students and sharing their joys and successes with the world.

My Passions

My family, music, my students, and baseball–particularly the Mets. (In some order.)

Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist

I’ve been building web communities for over 13 years and have been in higher education enrollment and marketing for over 6 years. From forums to today’s social media explosion, I’ve pretty much seen it all.

I’ve got a degree in biology with a minor in geology from Middle Tennessee State University.

My Passions

Breaking down silos, building collaboration and ultimately adding value to the brand. Informing, supporting and serving my colleagues to empower them to do great things. Using social media and digital marketing to help students find their fit and build relationships on and off campus. Using data and analytics to understand the impact of digital marketing efforts.
