Megg Brown

Assistant Director of Web Development

I earned an MBA in general management and information technology at the University at Albany. I am currently working towards a certification as Project Manager Professional (PMP).

My Passions

I’m driven to get people to the information they’re hunting for. I want to make it so the information you seek is at your fingertips when you need it. I build the connections through content and links to make information accessible. I want sites built in a sustainable way so content providers aren’t overwhelmed updating their sites, and you aren’t lost finding what you need.

Glenda Sims

Senior Accessibility Consultant at Deque

I love sharing my passion for the open web with government, education and companies that range from small business to Fortune 500. I serve as an accessibility consultant, judge and trainer for Knowbility, whose mission is to support the independence of children and adults with disabilities by promoting the use and improving the availability of accessibility information technology — barrier free IT.

Passions

I’m Glenda “the @goodwitch” and believe the web is for everyone; my passion is accessibility. I know I’m doing what I was meant to do when I cannot distinguish work from play.

Coffee Time!

Senior Digital Technologist

Spent 1 year at Northern Virginia Community College, then moved on to Shepherd College for 2-1/2 years. Worked on the Web as a hobby from the time Geocities came around, through my college years. Then picked it up as a side business while working for a septic contractor. Finally discovered it as my passion and my full-time job when I started working as the webmaster at Lord Fairfax Community College. Continuously fine-tuning my skills while running the website at University of Mary Washington.

My Passions:

The Web & WordPress; my family; coffee; music
