Because the Web is human.

May 17, 2014 by

No matter what your major – from anthropology to astronomy, from computer science to comparative literature – odds are that you will be “working on the Web” at some point in your future career. Are you ready?

CrowdSource Summit, presented by the Higher Education Web Professionals Association, is a new conference for college and university students who want to explore the many possibilities that “working on the Web” encompasses. We’ll focus on the multidisciplinary nature of Web work, moving beyond the tools and the technology to look at the human side of creating online experiences. We’ll look at the WHY.

  • WHEN: Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2014
  • WHERE: Red Lion Hotel on the River – Jantzen Beach, Portland, Oregon

We all consume the Web. We watch videos, we join social networks, we read articles or posts. Many of us contribute to the Web. We blog, we make Vines, we share photos, we post to Reddit. And some of us help create the Web. We write code, we build apps, we design interfaces. CrowdSource Summit will help you make the move from consumer to contributor to creator, whatever your level of technical prowess.

Are you ready?
